Basic Qualifications:
Must have experience managing and/or implementing a
project in one or more of the following areas: automotive, alternative fuel
vehicles, environmental, and/or utility industry.
Core Competencies:
-
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or
technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training,
and experience.
-
Typically possesses seven or more years of
experience in automotive or utility marketing or automotive or utility
communication programs plus five or more years of supervisory or project
management experience.
-
Demonstrated experience in the automotive,
alternative fuel vehicles, environmental, and/or utility industry.
-
Demonstrated knowledge of Plug-in Electric
Vehicles.
-
Demonstrated knowledge of the automotive
industry, objectives and strategies.
-
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain
working relationships with internal and external entities.
-
Demonstrated experience managing and
implementing projects, including identifying, maintaining, and/or adjusting
the cost, scope, and resources, managing vendors, and overseeing the formal
planning, tracking, and reporting of project performance, as well as some
experience managing cross-functional teams.

Demonstrated experience interfacing with senior
executives.

Demonstrated experience analyzing data and
information, developing strategies and documentation, and disseminating to
appropriate parties.

Demonstrated excellent oral and written
communication skills and presentation skills to develop, articulate, present
and promote ideas, and facilitate multi-discipline work groups.

Demonstrated ability to transform ideas into action
in demanding environments.

Demonstrated experience delivering presentations to
large audiences.

Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, and Project.

Must demonstrate the ability to integrate work

Typical Responsibilities:
This position will be a Project Manager for the Advanced
Technology/Plug-in Electric Vehicle (PEV) Readiness Group within Southern
California Edison's (SCE) Transmission and Distribution Business Unit (TDBU).
The successful candidate will support the PEV Readiness Program by establishing
and maintaining relationships with PEV automotive manufacturers and PEV Third
Party infrastructure manufactures that will be providing product within the SCE
service territory. Typical responsibilities involved in this include:
Determining information required from the PEV manufacturers to support the SCE
PEV readiness decision making; analyzing information, developing strategies and
documentation in support of cross functional business units; and managing the
dissemination of business information to business units. The Project Manager
will manage the development of PEV specific marketing and communication data,
information and strategies required in the following areas to support:
Operations Planning for process alignment with Third Parties; Corporate
Communication for SCE.com/PEV web site content development and media planning;
Digital and Traditional marketing plans, and external "Channels" such as
Manufacturer's Independent Dealers; and Business Customer Division (BCD) and
Local Public Affairs (LPA) community and industrial customer outreach. The
successful candidate will support, as appropriate, the National Trade
Association PEV information development and dissemination and lead the
coordination of industry related issues with auto manufacturers/utilities to
align on a national PEV readiness initiatives. The Project Manager will support
the training and development of Subject Matter Experts that provide necessary
external support to BCD and LPA. The successful candidate will perform other
duties and responsibilities as assigned.
