About the Greenway Trust:
The Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust, a non-profit organization based in
Seattle Washington, is focused on the protection and enhancement of the
Mountains to Sound Greenway corridor, which follows Interstate 90 for 100 miles
from Seattle, over the Cascade Mountains to Eastern Washington. Since 1991, the
Greenway Trust and its 60-member board of directors, which represent the major
stakeholders in the region, have served as the catalyst for this effort. Over
the past 16 years, over 200 million dollars have been spent by the public to
connect what is now a 750,000 acre swath of public open space. These lands will
protect the region s heritage of public open space and outdoor recreation for
current and future generations. More information on the Greenway Trust can be
