All
requests for free employer links on
JobOpenings.net must be approved by our staff before they will be
added to this website. For the sake of our job seekers and to maintain the
quality of the listings on our site, we are very strict about the type of
listing requests we approve. If you want to increase the likelihood of
approval, please follow these guidelines:
- Format Requirements:
All the text in your request must be in proper sentence case. That is, only
proper names, the first word in each sentence and initials should be
capitalized. Listings in either all uppercase or all lowercase will be
denied. The first letter of all city names and the two-letter state or
province code must be capitalized.
- Company Description: (Limited to 255 characters)
Your company description cannot be anything other than a brief description
of your company’s business. Company descriptions should not be “job offers”
or a promotion of your company. Submitting a promotional description rather
than an objective, well written company description may prevent your site
from being listed at all. For example, this is acceptable “IT company
providing specialized programming services to the health care industry.” is
an acceptable company description. Two that are not are: “We have current
openings for IT professionals.” and “We are the biggest and best IT company
in New England.”
- Third Party Websites:
Since some job listing sites collect and sell resumes, which is contrary to
the policies of JobOpenings.net , we
will not approve free link requests to any company website unless their
actual job openings are listed on their own company website. Some
exceptions are made if the third-party website is merely a job listing
program leased directly to the hiring company.
- Recruiting Firms:
The free listing sections of JobOpenings.net
(that is, all of the jobs by location and jobs by industry pages) include
only actual end employers, not search firms, recruiting agencies, job
listing services or trade associations. If your company will not be the
actual employer for the jobs listed on your website, you are not eligible
for a free employer listing. Recruiters or employment agencies may list
featured job requests,
request an agency listing
or select one of our advertising options. Job
listing sites are eligible for advertising
options only.
- Career or Employment Page:
Your company website must have a career, employment, "join our team" or job
listing page to be approved. If your site does not have a specific URL for
the career page, but the job listings are readily accessible and easy to
find from the main page of your website, your site may still be eligible.
We understand that not all sites are designed in the same format. Our goal
is to link to web pages which provide an easy path to the actual job
listings. Please note that your employment page should be an integral part
of your website, not a temporary page, and should link back to your
company's home page, so facilitate user's learning about your company.
- Job Offer Requirements:
To be approved, job listings must contain most of the following elements:
job title, experience and education requirements, job location, job
description and employer contact information. We are not interested in
linking to employers whose primary goal appears to be to gather resumes for
some future use. The goal of JobOpenings.net
is to provide links for job seekers to companies who are hiring for current
openings within their organization. Companies with no current openings, but
who are “always looking for good people” will not be approved for a free
listing.
- Commission Only Job Offers:
Since commission-only positions are frequently little more that affiliate
or reseller programs, we generally will not link to companies whose only
employment offers are commission-only sales positions. We will make
exceptions to this guideline, if our reviewers see evidence that the
company is providing substantial support for their sales staff in terms of
benefits or compensation during the training period. Under no circumstances
will we approve links to employers who request any kind of fee from the job
applicant.
- Job Location Country:
JobOpenings.net currently offers free
listings in only three countries. At least some of the job offers on the
company website must be located in either the US, Canada or Mexico. At this
time, the only method available to non-North American job offers to list is
through our featured job
listings.
JobOpenings.net
reserves the right to edit or delete any free listings at any time if the
listing fails to meet any of these guidelines or if the listings do not meet
the goals of this website, as we define them. Since the number of job seekers
who visit JobOpenings.net is
substantial and since we wish to provide the best possible information to aid
them in their search, we do not approve all employer requests. Employers who
do not list specific job offers on their company website may wish to consider
a featured job listing. |
